Titanium Jewelry - Titanium Magnetic Jewelry - Titanium Magnetic Bracelet

New Titanium Magnetic Bracelets and more!

Titanium jewelry is becoming more and more popular and why is that?  From what we can see, it is because there are very good reasons why titanium is the best material.

Gold has historically been very popular because it is easy to work with.  It is found in a metallic state in natural.  Gold is also somewhat hypoallergenic and it also looks good.

Titanium is hard to work with and is not found in nature (except in ore form).  So, why make titanium jewelry?  There is a good answer and that is "titanium is hypoallergenic, corrosion resistant, lightweight, very strong, looks good and is ultimately the superior metal for jewelry for these very reaons".

Until recent history titanium was only really considered as a a novelty and no real production was accomplished.  This changed once military applications and space travel came along.  Once these industries developed the manufacturing methods, then titanium jewelry began appearing.  Of course, titanium jewelry would just disappear if there were no solid reasons for using this difficult material.

Titanium is great for making money clips because it is very lightweight and most importantly, very springy.  This makes it snap back into shape after being bent to hold cash or credit cards.

The corrosion resistance and toughness of titanium make it perfect for bracelets and necklaces where ordinary materials mark and corrode.

In summary titanium has many virtues and even titanium dioxide makes an appearance and protects people from the sun.  It is used in sun block.  Even white paint uses  titanium dioxide.  Of course it is less expensive because it is less refined.

Titanium Properties:

  • A titanium ring is durable and lightweight
  • Titanium is corrosion resistant
  • Titanium is immune to salt water corrosion
